We Care about Periods

The word Zuri translates to beautiful from Swahili. Our mission is to reduce barriers to access for those in need. We do this by providing our beautiful gifts. The first Zuri Gift was donated in 2016 to soup kitchen patrons in Louisville, Kentucky. In August 2020, we were established as a formal 501(c)3 nonprofit entity in Houston, Texas.  Since then, we have donated over 1,200 Zuri Gifts.

Zuri Gifts has partnered with numerous organizations and donated items to multiple shelters, faith centers,  low-income housing facilities,  schools, community fairs, and refugee centers.

Our focus is providing access to those in need. Period items are essential, not luxuries, and we believe that everyone deserves to have quality items to ensure a more comfortable period.
